Lou Wijnhoven(1991) picked up an electric guitar at the age of 12. Heavily influenced by Punk Trash Stoner and Metal he and his brother formed a band called brainviolence. As Lou grew older his interests shifted and he discovered the Belgian underground electronic music scene in al its variations. And this is the moment when BrainzZ was born. He played his first liveset in march 2008 @ hanghaar64 in Ostend. After that many parties and venues where to follow such as X-live, Crash-Test, Acid Infektion, Interbeton, Kiss my fat Acid, City Parade, hangaar64, and many more. Free and commercial. Over the years BrainzZ also joined some crews such as Distorion Cunts, DDM soundsystem, Acid Infektion, Destroyed records... BrainzZ his music is best to be described as something that needs to be experienced on a big sound in the right setting. Every live set is different and relies completely on improvisation. So you can expect a new fresh live at every party. His acid influenced tekno sound establishes a link between the landscape's reality and that imagined by its conceiver. He investigates the dynamics of soundscapes, fat acidlines, pounding kicks and groovy percussions including the manipulation of its effects and the limits of music based on our assumptions. Rather than presenting a actual reality, an illusion is fabricated to conjure the realms of our imagination.
